The vest is the remnant of a 3 piece suit my father in law owned in the 70s. I used to have all three pieces. Then the pants dissolved, as forty-year-old wool can do sometimes.. The jacket's a little too big in the shoulders, but I do love the vest.

The commute has downsides--a nice, hour long train ride, you get to decompress, you know? Maybe this is just an issue because I come home to a hyper toddler and a stay-at-home parent who is starved for adult interaction.
